TRAVEL MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Travel Manager to join TRIBE to ensure the successful delivery of our events. As Travel Manager you will work closely with the Account Director and will be primarily responsible for managing delegate registrations, group travel and accommodation in the lead up to events. Highly organised and with exceptional project management skills, you will be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience and travel skills are required but the successful candidate will have the enthusiasm and desire to work within our team. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Delegate and registration management including group flight coordination, accommodation management, transfer arrangements, touring and other event requirements

  • You will become an expert in using our registration system to develop registration websites and mobile apps as well as producing reports and generating itineraries

  • Working with suppliers to ensure relationships are developed and maintained

  • Reconciling event finances specific to travel, accommodation and delegate income

  • Assist with the organisation of other aspects of an event (beyond travel) to ensure the successful delivery of the event

  • Interstate travel for onsite support

  • Assist with proposals for new business 

 

Must have skills include:

  • Must have Sabre or other GDS experience (note we ticket through a consolidator)

  • Confident team player with a can-do attitude and desire to always deliver outstanding events for our clients

  • Previous work experience of 1+ years in the events and travel industry

  • Experience with EventsAir or etouches event management/registration software

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

  • Must possess initiative and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills

TRAVEL CONSULTANT / EVENT COORDINATOR

We are in search of a travel consultant who is looking for an incredible and rare opportunity to work within both our fast growing Virtuoso travel department as well as the exciting events team. This is seriously one of the best job opportunities going around.

 

The role is based within a vibrant young and fun team who work incredibly hard to deliver amazing experiences for all our client.  Your primary responsibility will be working as part of a team to ensure the successful delivery of events. However it will be just as important to jump in and assist with making travel arrangements for our high end leisure clients.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Creating bespoke travel bookings for leisure client 

  • Delegate and registration management including group flight coordination, accommodation management, transfer arrangements etc. for events

  • Liaising and providing excellent customer service to all delegates/clients in a timely manner

  • Following and implementing processes

  • Using our event management software (EventsAIR or e-touches) to develop registration websites, produce reports and generate itineraries

  • Cross checking and ensuring every element of an event/booking is correct and of the highest standard

  • Expanding and developing travel knowledge

  • Travel for onsite events 

 

Must have skills include:

  • Travel consultancy experience of minimum 2 years (Sabre preferred)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Confident team player with a can-do attitude

  • Desire to always deliver outstanding experiences for our clients


Previous work experience in the events industry is favoured but not essential, training will be provided for the right candidate with an eagerness to kick start their career in events.
